Acrylic Painting 3 – Finding Your Voice

Class Description:
This painting/drawing course is for students who already have a range of observational and material-handling skills, but who are wanting to distill their artistic experiences and interests into a resolved body of work. Students will develop and pursue a clear and individual studio practice based on their own experience and interests. The basis of this course is dialogue and self-motivated studio work under the direction of the instructor. Students should expect to work in class as well as complete work on their own time.

Dates:
$159 / 5 classes
Mar 4 – Apr 1
Mondays 9:00am – 11:00am

What is included:
A wide range of supplies and tools from the studio are available for use.

Who this class is for:
Level 3
Focus: Specialized Learning
Adults only please. This Level 3 class is designed for students that are comfortable working with the tools, mediums and selecting subject matter. These classes typically focus on advancing specific material and creative skills while allowing students to make individual choices on their projects.

What to bring:
Students are generally expected to bring their own work and supplies in this class, but are permitted to use most tools/supplies from the studio. We have aprons, table easels and some standing easels.

Please bring to the first class:
1. A work that you have completed in the past that you feel might provide some direction for a more in-depth body of work, and
2. A couple examples from an artist that you admire that you feel might also provide some direction for yourself.
These can be in the form of the actual work of art, reproductions in a book, photographs, emailed jpg’s or even images saved on your phone (we can project these most likely, depending on compatibility).  The important thing is that we are able to see these images to begin our discussion on your individual direction.
We're sorry, but all tickets sales have ended because the event is expired.
