Drawing 2 – Portraits – ONLINE

Class Description:
This class is delivered online with limited seats for a highly interactive experience with your instructor.

Human portraits have always been a popular subject matter for artists. In this class discover why they are so intriguing through creating realistic portraits of your own. A few things you will study are how to:

  • find the proportions in a face
  • draw accurate human features
  • use values to create mood

You will work from masters’ drawings, photographs and finally create your own self portrait. Materials used will be graphite, charcoal and pen and ink.

If you want to get more out of the class, homework will be given for you to further practice exercises on your own time, but is completely optional.

I loved my drawing classes with Tracy. She is always supportive and gentle with suggestions. I am absolutely amazed at how much knowledge I have gained and how my drawings have progressed. The space is perfect and the cookies are always delicious!” – Sheila N.
