Oil Painting 2 – The Still Life Lives On!

Class Description:
Build on the skills you learned in the Very Beginner Oil Painting to really get comfortable with oil paints! You will learn how it feels to see as an artist sees and paint what is in front of you. This time-honoured tradition of still life painting is ideal for learning how to create the illusion of realism while developing a strong sense of composition. Through drawing, brush work and colour play you will create studies in order to grow and have fun with this rich and versatile medium.

All supplies are included. That means that you just show up!

Who this class is for:
Level 2
Focus: Skill Development
Adults only please. This Level 2 class is designed for those who have been introduced to the medium and tools and seeking continued learning and practicing. Skill development will be the focus. These classes are ideal to be taken repeatedly for continued practice.

If you have never painted with oils before, please take the Very Beginner Workshop prior to this class to learn the basic skills of oil painting.

What to bring:
We have some aprons, but wear clothes that can withstand the elements (i.e. glue, paint, etc.) of a fun, creative art studio. Please bring your own reusable mask. Nothing else is required.
