Portrait Drawing – It’s Fun!

Class Description:
Human portraits have been a popular subject matter for artists throughout history.  In this workshop you will create some interesting portraits of your own.   By studying facial proportions, values and negative shapes, you will learn the basics behind creating a realistic portrait including a self portrait.  You will also play with some drawing elements to create a more abstract drawing. It’ll be fun!

Materials used will be graphite, charcoal, pastel and pen.

All supplies are included. That means that you just show up!

Who is this class for:
Level 2
Focus: Skill Development
Adults only please. This Level 2 class is designed for those who have been introduced to the medium and tools and seeking continued learning and practicing. Skill development will be the focus. These classes are ideal to be taken repeatedly for continued practice.

What to bring:
We have some aprons, but wear clothes that can withstand the elements (i.e. glue, paint, etc.) of a fun, creative art studio. Please bring your own face mask. Nothing else is required.
