Acrylic Painting 2 – Line, Emphasis and Egon Schiele – ONLINE

Class Description:
This class is delivered online with limited seats for a highly interactive experience with your instructor.

In this session we will focus in the use of line and emphasis in painting while using Egon Schiele’s work to guide us.

In the first class we will look at line and its importance in painting. We will examine not only Schiele’s, but other artists paintings to see how they have utilized line to add intensity to images. We will then create our own paintings that focus on using line.

During the second class, we delve into emphasis and explore how different artists use this principle in their paintings. We will then do a painting project that focuses on emphasis.

For the third class, we look at a few of Schiele’s iconic works and students will have the opportunity to learn his techniques while replicating one of his paintings.

In the last two classes, students will bring in their own reference image and we will go over composition, colour choice, editing and image transfer. Students will have the opportunity to work on this painting for a total of 4 hours.

Note – Students that have taken this class with Jess before know that we do NEW projects every session, so you won’t get bored taking this class multiple times!
