Acrylic Painting 2 – Shape, Balance, and Tamara De Lempicka – ONLINE

Class Description:
This class is delivered online with limited seats for a highly interactive experience with your instructor.

In this session we will focus in the use of shape and balance in painting while using Tamara De Lempicka’s work to guide us.

In the first class we will look at shape and its importance in painting. We will examine not only De Lempicka’s, but other artists’ paintings to see how they have utilized shape to add interest to images. We will then create our own paintings that focus on the use of shape.

During the second class, we delve into balance and explore how different artists use this principle in their paintings. We will then do a painting project that focuses on rhythm.

For the third class, we look at a few of Tamara De Lempicka’s iconic works and students will have the opportunity to learn her techniques while replicating one of her paintings.

In the last two classes, students will bring in their own reference image and we will go over composition, colour choice, editing and image transfer. Students will have the opportunity to work on this painting for a total of 4 hours.

Bonus: We record the online classes, so if you miss one we can send you the recording!

Note – Students that have taken this class with Jess before know that we do NEW projects every session, so you won’t get bored taking this class multiple times!
